The BC SPCA has taken in a large number of Persian-mix cats following the death of their owner, with a family member seeking assistance in rehoming them. Many of these cats are in need of spaying or neutering, highlighting the urgent care required for their well-being.
Upon arrival, several cats were found with severely matted fur, necessitating immediate shaving, and many presented health issues such as upper respiratory infections, broken teeth, or being underweight. As a result, some cats will remain in the SPCA’s care until their health improves.
While a few cats may be ready for adoption soon, others will require additional socialization before they can be placed in new homes. The SPCA is committed to ensuring these animals receive the necessary care and support during their recovery.
