The city of Basehor, Kansas, has issued a reminder to residents prohibiting horseback riding on sidewalks, following incidents where riders left significant messes. The city emphasized that while they appreciate animals, leaving horse waste on sidewalks is unacceptable and violates city code.
Basehor’s Parks and Recreation staff had to spend considerable time cleaning up after these riders. The city urges residents to refrain from riding horses on sidewalks and to always clean up after their animals to maintain community cleanliness.
