The Royal Windsor Horse Show 2025, a prestigious equestrian event in the UK, marked a historic moment with Azerbaijan’s participation for the first time, featuring a large delegation of 130 members. This extensive representation was made possible through the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation, showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage.
A standout highlight was the performance titled “Azerbaijan – Land of Fire,” which captivated the audience with a blend of national dances, music, and the majestic Karabakh horses. The 20-minute presentation, led by Honoured Artist Govkhar Hasanzadeh, included live performances of iconic Azerbaijani compositions and showcased the synchronized movements of the cavalry and dancers, culminating in a powerful display of national pride.
The event concluded with an official reception at Windsor Castle, where Honoured Artists Afag Abbasova and Saadat Ismayilova performed piano pieces, providing a cultural finale to the day’s festivities. Azerbaijan’s participation will continue through May 18, with the Azerbaijani Land of Fire polo team set to further highlight the nation’s equestrian prowess.
