Australian rider Samantha Sidwell achieved notable success at the CDI Motešice event in Slovakia, winning the seven-year-old CDI Young Horse classes with her black gelding, Selected. The horse, sired by Secret out of Giant Luca, earned impressive scores of 73.66% in the Preliminary Test and 70.415% in the Final Test. Sidwell originally purchased Selected as a three-year-old in Germany and brought him to Australia, where he secured multiple young horse class victories, including Champion of Champions at the 2023 dressage and Jumping with the Stars.

At the end of 2024, Sidwell relocated permanently to Hagen, Germany, with a team of horses. Motešice marked Selected’s debut at an international CDI level, and Sidwell expressed enthusiasm for their future prospects, looking forward to the upcoming summer season with the promising young horse.
