Aubree Soleska Named 2025 Jefferson County Equine Ambassador

Aubree Soleska, a 13-year-old homeschooler from Watertown, was named the 2025 Jefferson County Equine Ambassador after a rigorous selection process involving knowledge tests, speeches, interviews, and horsemanship competitions. With a lifelong passion for horses and a particular love for eventing shows, Soleska has been deeply involved in equine activities through Jefferson County 4-H, the regional Pony Club, and Kettle Moraine EZ Riders. She and her experienced pony Junie have won multiple Grand Champion ribbons at the Jefferson County Fair, where she was officially crowned and will serve as the project’s representative for the coming year.

Soleska aims to inspire others to join the 4-H Horse and Pony Project, following the example of past ambassadors who mentored her. She credits working with horses for teaching her organization, multitasking, and building physical and mental strength, as well as fostering a strong bond with animals. Over the next year, she will take on leadership roles and represent Jefferson County at state events, supported by her family and their farm’s diverse animals.
