Archuleta County Fair Celebrates Royalty Court and Honors Outstanding Volunteers

The 74th Archuleta County Fair, held from July 31 to August 3, features the Royalty Court composed of three young women—Queen Olivia Mazur, Princess Sophia Ellis, and Junior Princess Nora Forrest—who represent the community with dedication and service. Each is actively involved in local schools and 4-H programs, showcasing diverse interests such as equine veterinary aspirations, public speaking, surgery, and poultry raising, while serving as role models through their enthusiasm and community commitment.

The fair also recognizes the invaluable contributions of volunteers, highlighting Super Superintendent Lisa Vail and Super Volunteer Ashley Torres for their exceptional service in organizing and supporting fair activities. The community honors the memory of past supporters who significantly impacted the fair and 4-H programs, underscoring the collective effort behind the event’s success.
