Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA) has launched the Stud Start program, aimed at individuals with little or no experience in the thoroughbred breeding industry, particularly those in rural areas seeking career changes or re-entering the workforce. The program, fully funded by TBA, is designed to provide essential skills and knowledge for a successful career in this sector.
The six-week program includes online learning followed by an intensive week in Scone, NSW, where participants will gain hands-on experience with horses, engage in class-based education, visit farms, and network within the industry. By the end of the course, participants will complete three units of competency that contribute toward a Certificate III in Horse Breeding.
Applications for the program are currently open and will close on June 13th. Successful applicants will begin online learning on June 30th, continuing through July 28th. For more information or to apply, interested individuals can visit the TBA website or contact Madison Tims directly.
