Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been banned from horse riding, one of his favorite pastimes, following his arrest related to reportedly providing information to Jeffrey Epstein during his tenure as Britain’s trade envoy. After being stripped of his titles, evicted from Royal Lodge, and effectively removed from royal duties, this restriction was imposed to avoid negative public perception, especially as he had been seen smiling and riding publicly amid ongoing controversies.
King Charles III was reportedly angered by Andrew’s public appearances, feeling they exacerbated the royal family’s troubles linked to the Epstein scandal. Consequently, Charles insisted Andrew be removed from the public eye and relocated to Norfolk. Royal insiders noted Andrew’s lack of remorse and perceived arrogance, suggesting that a more discreet approach would have been expected, but since that was not the case, decisive action was taken to limit his visibility.
