The Andalusian rescue centre for horses (Arch) has urgently appealed for donations to cover the significant costs of rescuing three mares, two donkeys, and a mule recently delivered by Gibraltar police. These animals were confiscated from a dealer repeatedly banned from keeping animals, who is now imprisoned. Over the past five years, the centre has taken in 15 animals from this dealer, with ongoing investigations potentially uncovering more neglected animals.

President Jill Newman Rogers highlighted the challenges faced by the centre, especially due to severe weather and limited resources, as it receives no government funding. Despite these difficulties, the centre continues to provide care for neglected animals and relies heavily on public donations to afford necessary veterinary treatment and support for their team.
