Two-time Canadian Olympian Amy Millar of Perth, ON, took the lead in Round One of the $125,000 Henry Equestrian Canadian Show Jumping Championship at the 2025 Royal Horse Show, held during the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto. Riding Jagger HX, Millar set the fastest time of 67.24 seconds in a challenging one-round speed test designed by Olaf Petersen, Jr., positioning herself strongly for the final round. The top three was rounded out by fellow Olympians Tiffany Foster and Mario Deslauriers, highlighting the experience at the forefront of Canadian show jumping.
In addition to show jumping, the Royal Horse Show also featured the Mad Barn Indoor Eventing Challenge, an exciting indoor cross-country event. Holly Jacks of Hillsburgh, ON, won the first round aboard Josephine, showcasing the sport’s appeal and community spirit. The event, designed by Captain Mark Phillips, attracted top competitors including defending champion Kendal Lehari and world number one Harry Meade. Both championships will conclude with final rounds on November 8, promising thrilling finishes for Canadian equestrian fans.
