Amateur Riders’ Club Concludes Showjumping and Dressage Competitions in Mumbai

The Amateur Riders’ Club (ARC) in Mumbai recently concluded its showjumping and dressage competitions, showcasing some of the city’s top young equestrian talent, including national champion Zahan Setalvad. The event, judged by esteemed FEI judge Col. Sunil Shivdas, featured multiple categories across three days, with riders competing in showjumping heights ranging from 70 cm to 1.15 m and various dressage classes. Notable winners included Shaurya Agarwal, Aariana Mehta, Stasya Pandya, and Arya Chandorkar, with Setalvad’s horse “Dalio” earning the Best Presented Horse award.

ARC continues to provide world-class facilities and opportunities for riders across Maharashtra, hosting national and international events at the Mahalaxmi racecourse. Milan Luthria, ARC’s Equitation Chairman, emphasized the importance of such competitions in giving young riders exposure and experience, especially through initiatives like the Dream Alliance, which unites talent from 12 centers across India. The Mumbai leg follows a successful series of events held at premier venues nationwide.
