Alex Vodermair has announced that she is now riding for renowned equestrian Dorothee Schneider, having recently moved with her horse Chewie to Gestüt St Stephan in Germany before relocating to Gestüt Famos in Syke. This opportunity arose after Alex reached out to Dorothee upon hearing of her move, marking a significant milestone in her career. Since officially joining on January 1, Alex is thoroughly enjoying the experience and the chance to work alongside a world-class mentor.
Having relocated from Australia last year to prepare for the FEI World Young Horse Championships and to be closer to family, Alex and Chewie achieved personal bests, finishing fourth in the small final. With Chewie in excellent form and continuing to develop, they are now focused on competing in the seven-year-old classes at this year’s Championships. The partnership looks set for an exciting season ahead, making the most of this remarkable opportunity.
