Adopt a Wild Horse or Burro This Saturday in Los Angeles County

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management, is hosting a wild horse and burro adoption event on Saturday. This event will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Industry Hills Expo Center, where 17 animals are available for adoption following a successful first day of adoptions.

Adoptions will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis, with applications approved on-site. Interested adopters are encouraged to fill out an application in advance on the Bureau of Land Management’s website to expedite the process. An adoption fee of $125 is required for those who choose to adopt.

This event marks the second year of the wild horse and burro adoption initiative by the Sheriff’s Department, aiming to find homes for these animals while promoting responsible adoption practices.
