4-H Public Style Revue Kicks Off 132nd Allen County Fair with Awards and Community Partnerships

The 132nd annual Allen County Fair kicked off with the 4-H Public Style Revue, where 14 young participants showcased outfits they either made or shopped for. Aspen Wimsett stood out as the overall champion in sewing and textile design, also winning the intermediate division, while Karly Kramer earned top senior honors and a special rotary cutter award. Other notable winners included Elijah Mentzer, Rohan Springer, Case Mentzer, Teghan Jaro, and Tessa Francis, who excelled in various sewing and Shopping in Style categories.

The event also featured recognition of community partnerships, with Southwind Extension agent Hunter Nickell presenting awards to the City of Iola and USD 257 for their collaboration on a new digital sign at Riverside Park. Following the style revue, the fair continued with a 4-H horse show and other youth activities, setting the stage for a full week of events at the Allen County Fairgrounds.
