The NYRA Foundation is hosting a special 4-H Open House event at Saratoga Race Course on July 3rd, 2025, inviting 4-H youth, families, and educators from across New York State to experience the excitement of Thoroughbred racing. This unique day offers behind-the-scenes access to one of the nation’s most iconic racetracks, combining interactive and educational activities designed to introduce participants to the world of horse racing.
Attendees will have the opportunity to witness live Thoroughbred races, meet a professional trainer to learn about racehorse care, explore veterinary and equine science through interactive presentations, and visit the paddock for an up-close look at racehorses. The event also provides a chance to connect with other 4-H youth from across the state, making it a fun and educational experience for the whole family.
The event is supported by the NYRA Foundation, the NYS 4-H Horse Program, and the New York Thoroughbred Horsemen’s Association (NYTHA).
