The 4-H 2026 horse bowl was held on February 7 at the Crook County Fairgrounds, featuring 26 competitors, including three members from Jefferson County’s Horses and Hearts club. Grace Beamer and Aubree Hill earned blue ribbons, while Darby Crowley received a red ribbon after competing in three increasingly challenging rounds of horse-related questions covering health, equipment, and care.
On February 28, a horse judging and hippology contest took place for 4-H members from Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties. Additionally, a community dodgeball fundraiser was held at Culver High School gym to support Jefferson County 4-H activities. Grace Beamer serves as the 4-H reporter for both Horses and Hearts and Boots and Hooves clubs.
