The Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame will induct its 2025 class, including Larry Craft, Bill Melson, Joe Peacock Sr. and Jr., Mike Rutherford, American Quarter Horse Havanah Goodtime, and Thoroughbred Too Much Bling on October 4 at Lone Star Park. These individuals and horses have brought recognition to Texas and the horse industry.
Larry Craft, a former racing official, Bill Melson, a cattleman and horseman, and the Peacock family, who have been breeding and racing horses since the 1960s, are among the inductees. Mike Rutherford, a lifelong horseman who transitioned from Quarter Horses to Thoroughbreds, will also be honored for his contributions to the industry.
The horses being inducted include Too Much Bling, a Thoroughbred who has been a top Texas Sire since 2013, and Havanah Goodtime, a Quarter Horse who produced multiple winners and champions. The Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of these individuals and horses in the industry.
