The 2025 Missouri State Fair features a comprehensive equine event lineup beginning with the 4-H and FFA Horse Show from July 23–27 at the Mathewson Exhibition Center, Donnelly arena, and Coliseum. Following this, open equine events start on August 8, showcasing various mule and donkey classes, including light draft mule shows, jumping mule games, and miniature donkey competitions. The fair continues with draft horse events sponsored by BTC Bank from August 13–17, highlighting powerful draft horse and pony shows with diverse classes such as classic six-horse hitches, obstacle courses, halter classes, and youth competitions.
