2025 Los Angeles County Fair Meet at Los Alamitos Features $400,000 in Stakes Races

The 2025 Los Angeles County Fair meet at Los Alamitos will feature three stakes races totaling $400,000, running from June 20 to July 6. The meet includes racing on Fridays through Sundays, with a first post time of 4 p.m. EDT. The highlight is the $200,000 Great Lady M. (G2) for fillies and mares, scheduled for July 5, alongside the $100,000 Bertrando on June 21 and the $100,000 Los Alamitos Derby on June 28.

Wagering options will include two $1 Pick 4 sequences and a $2 Pick 6, with a unique Players’ Pick 5 offering a 50-cent minimum bet and a reduced takeout rate of 14%. The Pick 6 will distribute 70% of the pool to tickets with six winners and 30% to those with five of six winners.

Additionally, a handicapping contest on June 28 will provide a cash prize and two berths to the 2026 National Thoroughbred Racing Association Handicapping Championship in Las Vegas. The entry fee is $500, with a portion going into the contest prize pool and the rest allocated for live-money wagering. Full details will be available on the racetrack’s website, with entries for opening day accepted until June 17.
