The 2025 Crow Wing County Fair in Brainerd officially began on Tuesday, July 29, featuring a lively atmosphere filled with farm animals, food vendors, and various competitions. Early visitors witnessed 4-H and FFA members preparing their animals—rabbits, horses, cows, and pigs—for judging, with participants like Brielle Karppinen and Cora Hodgman eagerly awaiting their turn to showcase their rabbits. The fair also highlighted personal stories, such as Mike Reiner’s pride in watching his son compete with his deaf horse and Jericho Kretzmann sharing the experience of baby pigs with his daughter.
In addition to animal judging, the fair included community engagement through food stands like the Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge, where William Fearing cooked burgers while giving back to the community. Photography enthusiasts, represented by Rod Baakkonen of the FocalPoint Photography Club, also gathered to share their passion. The event, running through Saturday, offers a rich blend of agriculture, family activities, and local culture, inviting visitors to explore more at crowwingcountyfair.com.
